The episode's sound editor was Justin Lebens while mixing honors went to Fred Stuben, Jeff Fuller and Eddie Kim.

Speaking to Billboard in August, Foos frontman Dave Grohl explained the significance of the episode. "There's a lot of ghosts in Seattle," he said. "Whenever I go back to Seattle I feel the good and I feel the bad and it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. When we were deciding on cities to focus on, one of the big criteria was to find cities that we had a personal connection to. Sometimes those cities were the most difficult to direct or to edit because it was hard to take myself out of the middle of it."

The band already boasts 11 Grammy Awards, including best rock album forWasting Light in 2012.
